The $350 million Four Seasons hotel and condo project under construction in downtown Denver has reached its full 45-story height, and its developers commemorated the milestone with a ceremony Thursday morning.
The developers — Jeff Selby, Michael Brenneman and Dan Wolf of 1111 Tower LLC — as well as city officials signed the 75-foot “mast,” which tops the building, and watched as a crane lifted it into place.
The Four Seasons Hotel & Private Residences will include 230 hotel rooms and 102 condos priced at $800,000 to $10 million for a penthouse. It’s located at 14th and Arapahoe streets, and will be the Denver area’s first Four Seasons property.
Construction on the Four Seasons started in September 2007, a couple of years later than initially expected because of difficulties finalizing contracts and obtaining financing.
Funding includes a $200 million construction loan arranged by Cairn Financial Products Ltd. of London and undisclosed equity from clothing manufacturer Grupo Mexico of Mexico City.
The project is expected to be completed in early 2010.
